Well, I was interested to try out other ren'py games that were entered, and I was kind of surprised by how much choice there is. It feels more like an old point and click adventure games.

I found it easy to get confused, though. I started just clicking through options, like examining everything, trying to interact with everything, and eventually grabbing stuff from the closet basically on accident.

After the father got home the first night, I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do; trying to sleep didn't have any feedback. so I explored more, found the kitchen drawers were unusable, and went to the office. It felt like there was some kind of time-passage mechanic, as I noticed that doing certain actions would brighten the scene, as if the sun was rising? specifically when I was in the office rummaging around. At the same time, though, it seems you have to investigate things multiple times to progress?

Also, I was able to crash it. Got this error while  randomly clicking around, didn't cook anything the first day, then fumbled around at night, finally got into the kitchen and tried the cooking minigame(?) and failed then this happened.

We fixed a mistake in the kitchen

You can find sleeping pills in the office

a new ren'py distribution looks like?
alright cool

Question : is this game family-safe in terms of sexuality? It looks amazing, and with the last comment given I have heigh hopes for it. However, I specifically said no NSFL content, but was referring only to sexuality (my bad. I forgot to change it!).

If the game impure in this regard, I cannot give it first place, as it does not follow the rules.

Thanks for submitting to the Panic Horror Jam! Sorry for the late comment :/

we tried to avoid the direct display of sexualized violence visually, except that the text may contain a description, but without details of what is happening, but with a description of the feelings of the character, so we believe that in terms of sexuality this game is safe

Wow... this was quite a tough and tragic experience to get through, but I am glad I did. This game is not for the faint of heart, so adhere to any Warning labels before playing cause this gets heavy.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD***

I'll start with the controls. At times I was confused by what to do, and I had a hard time picking up on the direction of how to navigate the game. Eventually I got the hang of it and hammered down the routine. I did run into a bug every night that made it difficult to trigger the end of the day. I would have to go back into other rooms and click around for a bit before it let me end the day and go to sleep. Once you get the hang of the flow though, it gets a lot less confusing and you can start to focus on the story.

The absolute horrors this game portrays was heightened a lot by the quality of the story writing. The art style was pretty cool, and I found myself more immersed because of the back stories of the characters that were created (the sisters, mom, and dad). The game really takes a twisted turn when the events start taking place... clever use of music progressions and environmental manipulations change the world around you and really impact the increasing panic of the situation. It was really cool how the dreams got more nightmarish as the game progressed.

The ending was awesome too, and well worth the build up. It was nice to get revenge, and it was a cool turn in the story to find out the entire time you have just been telling the story of why you killed your father to a detective. Really heart wrenching stuff... but I think y'all covered the topic respectfully.

Job well done!!!!!
